Research Themes for SIS 2025-26
Interns will conduct research on one of the following themes, ensuring focused and impactful studies:
- NWRS Financing to Farmers – Analysis of issues and usage trends in the National Warehouse Receipt System.
- NBFCs Financing in Rural Areas – Examination of coverage, accessibility, and challenges faced by Non-Banking Financial Companies in rural finance.
- Tenant Farmers’ Challenges – Study of tenancy patterns, difficulties faced, and potential solutions.
- Value Chain Development in Fruit Clusters – Assessment of existing interventions and exploration of new opportunities for growth.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the NABARD SIS 2025-26, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be enrolled in a postgraduate program (completed at least the first year) in Agriculture or allied fields such as Veterinary Sciences, Fisheries, Agri-business, Economics, Agri-economics, Social Sciences, or Management.
- Students in five-year integrated courses who have completed their fourth year can also apply.
- Indian students studying abroad who meet the above criteria are eligible.
- Candidates must either be studying in the state where they apply or be permanent residents of that state.
- For positions at NABARD’s Head Office (Mumbai), applications are open to students from across India.
